It's also called "The Blanket Kingdom." Its local mascot is Ozumin the sheep, carrying yarn and knitting needles at her waist.
By the way, Izumiotsu boasts 98% of the Japanese blanket market share.
It's also said that Izumiotsu produced Japan's first blanket.

Well, that was a long preamble, but
for the past few years, BasShu has been
making "made in Izumiotsu" wool blankets exclusively for winter.
Perhaps it's an occupational hazard, but when I browse markets and vintage shops,
I always end up looking for blankets, and then buying them. But when I actually use them,
they're heavy. Stiff. Coarse.
That's all there is to it.
I own quite a few blankets, but the only ones I actually use when sleeping
are our own products. It sounds like a lie, but it's true.

These were the starting points for the design.

For this striped pattern, I was particularly meticulous about the colors.
The aim was to achieve the vibrant colors of vintage blankets.
Pay attention to the khaki, which is not a single color but expressed by twisting various colored threads together.
As for the size, here's how it looks draped over a 2.5-seater sofa.
It's not only warm but also incredibly soft and pleasant to the touch, so
I personally highly recommend using it as a bed blanket.
It's a luxury item made of 100% wool,
