“You’re opening a store in times like these? Are you sure?”
I’ve been working hard these past few months, smiling as I brushed off these perfectly valid concerns.
And after a whirlwind two months…
Finally… (somehow) everything is ready.
On Wednesday, May 22nd, at 12:00 PM,
we will be opening the BasShu store.
That's tomorrow!
I apologize for the short notice, as always.
And… right now, it’s raining heavily (lol).
I hope it clears up tomorrow.

◆Address: 1F, 1-5-19 Yakumo, Meguro-ku, Tokyo (along Meguro-dori)
*3-minute walk from Toritsu-daigaku Station on the Tokyu Toyoko Line
◆Hours: 12:00 PM - 6:00 PM (Weekdays only *Closed on weekends and national holidays)
◆Phone: 03-6421-2824
The location is about a 2-minute brisk walk from Toritsu-daigaku Station, but
Google Maps can be a bit unreliable, and many people get lost, so
I'll add that you should look for the MOS BURGER on the main street, and the entrance is four doors down from there.
---
And to commemorate the opening,
we've prepared a gift.
It's something that represents the origin of our craftsmanship:
[one Banshu-ori placemat] or [a set of three Banshu-ori coasters].

You can choose between a bandana pattern or indigo calico.
We hope that even those unfamiliar with Banshu-ori will take this opportunity to touch and learn about it.
◆How to get it: Please show the staff at the store that you are following us on Instagram / Facebook / Twitter.
※We will update this space if/when the [limited quantity gifts run out].
--
Actually, despite calling it a store, it's closed on weekends and holidays.
That's because we're still a minimal team of three people (and the back half of the store is our office).
That's why we quietly started without any grand reception.
And, as is typical for us,
we hope to continue for a long time, (lol) staying true to ourselves without being overly trendy or going out of style, just as before.
So, everyone,
we would be delighted if you could drop by casually,
as if you were visiting "BasShu's Base" rather than Tokoro-san's Setagaya Base.
While it's still a newborn store and may have some imperfections,
we have staff who can talk about every product more passionately than anyone else in the world, so
even just for a chat, you are very welcome.
The entire staff looks forward to seeing you.
