Hello, this is Imoto from BasShu.
We are currently looking for someone interested in working in [E-commerce/Web Business].
The brand you would be in charge of is "BasShu."
I'm writing this hoping it reaches those who are interested in what we do.
(Unusually long post!)
Now, let's get to it.
About Norm Co., Ltd.
We are a small company that will soon celebrate its 11th anniversary.
We have 5 members (3 men, 2 women).
Currently, we have two offices in Tokyo and operate three in-house brands, primarily moving between the interior and apparel industries, including importing rugs from overseas and launching a trunks brand, in addition to BasShu.
The BasShu team alone consists of a director, product planner (me), and order processing staff, totaling three people.
This time, we are looking for a new team member to join us.
Why are we recruiting?
Simply put, we are short-staffed in our online business. Right now.
The excellent person who had been working hard for us happily left at the end of last month, and we've been searching for about two months now but haven't found anyone suitable.
I was at a loss for a while, wondering how everyone finds talent, but I gathered myself and decided to write about it on our blog.
About the Workplace & Job Description
Although we operate our own brands, we also have quite a few unpublicized client projects, and despite being a small company, we do a wide variety of things. We also have many dealings with overseas clients.
People who are good at something do what they are good at.
Unlike large companies, there are no clear divisions of tasks, and you decide "what to do and how to do it" entirely yourself. As a result, the decision-making process is simple and fast.
(Oh, of course, we won't suddenly leave everything to you; we'll offer advice like "Wouldn't this be better?" and provide support!)
What I want to say is that, regardless of the job type, this might not be a good fit for someone who prefers to work passively.
*We don't want an unhappy ending for either of us, so please apply honestly about this point. We're not confident we can spot it in an interview (laughs).
The job content involves overall operation of the online store and web-based communication/promotion.
・Communication with customers and external vendors (90% email, 10% phone)
・Website updates, product registration, image editing, etc.
・Often involves creating written content, such as product descriptions, web communications, and responding to inquiries.
・There is no shipping work for products, as we contract with an external warehouse. You will be responsible for requesting shipments to the warehouse.
The above are daily tasks, and what follows is a gray area that depends on the individual.
・Planning and implementing promotions, such as "Wouldn't this kind of launch be good?"
・Branding, product planning
・And... anything else goes.
That's all.
While the main task within the team is E-commerce/web management, it would be even more enjoyable if you are someone who can also participate in other areas, such as exhibitions and events.
Overtime is almost nonexistent. We leave promptly at 6 PM.
So, here are the application guidelines.
