KODE / BasShu's Craftsmanship Begins With Fabrics We Fall in Love With

KODE / 惚れ込んだ生地からはじまる BasShuのものづくり

I was interviewed recently, and the article has been published.

KODE / BasShu's Craftsmanship Starting with Beloved Fabric

I answered various questions about the brand's launch, the twists and turns to where it is today, and the countries and places that inspire me.

By the way,

When I'm interviewed like this, it always surprises people how flat my relationship with the director is. This time, too...

I'm aware that I don't hesitate to interject or debate with the older director, but it's a relationship where he accepts my impertinence with the open-mindedness of a Kansai person, so I just end up speaking in my usual way.

In product planning too, we operate on a style where we exhaustively express whatever we both think, so I imagine it might be even more off-putting.

Or rather, I'm generally the problematic one.

This interview made me think I should try to be a bit more reserved in front of people from outside the Kansai region (lol).

I'm grateful that the article thoroughly edited out those parts.

Also, it's presented in standard Japanese (lol). Please take a look if you like.
