We asked skilled artisans in Imabari City, Ehime Prefecture, who continue to make towels, to create a special Basshu-exclusive texture that is not overly fluffy but has just the right amount of resilience.
Furthermore, we added high absorbency and quick-drying properties so that it can be easily washed at home.
With a smooth feel, it offers quality that everyone in the family can use with peace of mind.

About Jacquard weaving and patterns

Instead of inexpensive printing, the pattern is expressed through "yarn-dyeing," where the yarn is dyed first and then woven using a jacquard loom. This production method is time-consuming and labor-intensive, but it ensures that the color does not fade even after repeated washing, allowing for long-lasting use with rich color and comfortable quality.
