The worn-out gauze blanket I used when I was little.
Looking back now, I vaguely remember how it felt so comfortable against my body, and I slept so well.

That fluffy feeling is so nostalgic, comfortable, and I realize again that it was truly a good thing.

Drawing on those nostalgic memories,
The blissful feeling of being wrapped in a soft gauze,
The feeling of being securely enveloped with a voluminous feel,
Yet lightweight and easy to use
Our goal was to create a 4-layer gauze blanket that would blend into your life and feel comfortable on your body.



Soft and light 4-layer gauze


While a fluffy and voluminous feel could be achieved by layering, it would also make it heavy and difficult to use.

The 4-layer gauze was developed to achieve that balance.

The outer two layers are woven with fine threads to feel pleasant and smooth against the skin, while the inner two layers are woven roughly with thick threads.

This creates a thickness that is surprising for a 4-layer gauze.


Furthermore, by making it a 4-layer gauze,
It has improved breathability and quick-drying properties,
So even if you sweat a lot while sleeping, it keeps you feeling dry and comfortable.



Absorbency achieved by washing in the Imabari region


Normal gauze blankets are washed in their fabric state before sewing.
However, BasShu's gauze blankets are sewn and then taken to the Imabari region for further washing.

This removes impurities such as oil and starch contained in the cotton fibers, improving absorbency.
Furthermore, it is gently washed using two types of enzymes without chemicals, resulting in a unique fluffy finish.


When it comes to gauze blankets, plain ones are often seen, but

We thought that there could also be gauze with a vintage presence,
So, inspired by vintage blankets from the late 1800s, we recreated them in a way we liked.

As a gift for a new home, such as a wedding or baby shower,
It will become a cherished item that you use every day and that conforms to your body.

◎ Gauze fabric has a tendency to shrink. After washing and dehydration, quickly reshape and hang to dry in the shade.
◎ When washing,we recommend using a laundry net and washing with plenty of water.
◎ Colored items may transfer color, so wash them separately.
◎ Excessive use of fabric softener can make the fibers slippery, leading to snags and pilling, so please avoid using it as much as possible.
◎ Do not tumble dry.
◎ Since soft gauze fabric is used, sharp nails or accessories may snag the fibers. Please be careful when handling and using.
