A gauze blanket that adapts to your body the more you use it.

I vaguely remember the soft, worn-out gauze blanket I used as a child, and how it felt so comfortable against my body and helped me sleep well.

That soft feeling is so nostalgic and comforting, and I realize again how wonderful it was.

Drawing on those fond memories, we aimed for a 4-ply gauze blanket that would integrate into your life and body, offering the blissful feeling of being wrapped in soft gauze, a sense of being enveloped by its substantial volume, yet remaining light and easy to use.

 

Soft and light 4-ply gauze


While layering could achieve a soft and voluminous feel, it would also make it heavy and difficult to use.

Considering this balance, we developed a 4-ply gauze.

The outer layers are woven with fine threads to feel pleasant and smooth against the skin, while the two inner layers are woven roughly with thick threads.

This allows us to achieve a thickness that is surprising for a 4-ply gauze.


Furthermore, by being a 4-ply gauze,
it also has good breathability and quick-drying properties,
keeping you dry and comfortable even if you sweat a lot while sleeping.


Absorbency achieved by washing in the Imabari region

Regular gauze blankets are washed before sewing.
However, BasShu's gauze blankets are sewn and then taken to the Imabari region for further washing.

This process removes impurities such as oils and starches from the cotton fibers, improving absorbency.
Furthermore, it is gently washed using two types of enzymes without chemicals, resulting in a unique fluffy finish.


While plain gauze blankets are common,

we thought there could be gauze that exudes a vintage presence, and inspired by 19th-century vintage blankets, we recreated it in a way that we found appealing.

As a gift for new beginnings, such as a wedding or baby shower,
this blanket will become a cherished item that adapts to your body with daily use.

<Care Instructions>

◎ Gauze fabric has a tendency to shrink. After washing and dehydration, quickly reshape it and hang it to dry in the shade.
◎ When washing,we recommend putting it in a laundry net and washing with plenty of water.
◎ As colored items may bleed, wash them separately from other items.
◎ Excessive use of fabric softener can make fibers slippery, causing threads to come loose and fluff to appear, so please avoid using it as much as possible.
◎ Do not tumble dry.
◎ Because soft gauze fabric is used, sharp nails or accessories may catch on the fibers. Please be careful when handling and using.
