The worn-out gauze blanket I used when I was little.
Looking back, I vaguely remember how it conformed to my body and helped me sleep well, which was a strange feeling.

That soft feeling was somehow nostalgic, comfortable, and I realize again that it was truly good.

Relying on those nostalgic memories,
The blissful feeling of being wrapped in a soft gauze,
A voluminous feeling that completely envelops you,
Yet lightweight and easy to use.
We aimed for a four-layer gauze blanket that blends into both your life and your body.


Soft and light four-layer gauze


The soft feel and volume could be achieved by layering, but that would make it heavy and difficult to use.

The four-layer gauze was completed after considering this balance.

The outer and inner layers are woven with fine threads to feel pleasant and smooth against the skin, while the two middle layers are woven roughly with thick threads.

This allows us to achieve a thickness that is surprising for a four-layer gauze.


Furthermore, by making it a four-layer gauze,
It has good breathability and quick-drying properties,
So even if you sweat a lot while sleeping, it keeps you dry and comfortable.



Absorbency achieved by washing in the Imabari region


Normal gauze blankets are washed in their fabric state before sewing.
However, BasShu's gauze blankets are taken to the Imabari region for washing after they are sewn.

By doing so, impurities such as oil and starch contained in the cotton fibers are removed, improving absorbency.
Furthermore, it is gently washed using two types of enzymes without chemicals, resulting in a unique fluffy finish.

We thought it would be good to have a gauze that gives off a vintage presence,
So, inspired by 19th-century vintage blankets, we recreated them into a shape that we like.

 <Handling Instructions>

◎ Gauze fabric has a tendency to shrink. After washing and spinning, promptly reshape and dry in the shade.
◎ When washing, we recommend using a laundry net and washing with plenty of water.
◎ Colored items may bleed, so wash them separately.
◎ Excessive use of fabric softener can make the fibers slippery and cause thread pulling or fluffing, so please avoid using it as much as possible.
◎ Do not tumble dry.
◎ Because soft gauze fabric is used, sharp nails or accessories may catch on the fibers. Please be careful when handling and using.
