Large patchwork quilt, hand-stitched together

Patchwork quilts started "because we liked them"

As the director said sharply, "Who would make something this intricate?",
it was actually difficult to find a domestic company that would take on such a labor-intensive patchwork project.
Still, we couldn't give up and kept searching, and then a small factory in China stepped forward.

Honestly, it was a quilt project that made us think, "Who would make it?" and
"Who would buy it?" Finally, it took shape.

Chinese artisans carefully stitch together small scraps of fabric one by one to create a large pattern.
Since it's not printed, it takes an enormous amount of time, but there's a unique charm that only patchwork can offer.

The soft texture unique to overdyeing

Overdyeing is applied as the finishing touch to all processes.
The colors, achieved by adding another layer of dye to the fabric, possess a somewhat nostalgic, as if-it-has-always-been-there texture.

While there are various types of quilts around the world, I believe American quilts, with their primitive and serene presence, suit Japanese living spaces.

Inspired by the rustic texture of early 1900s American quilts, we recreated them in a way we thought was appealing.

Use it on the floor, use it outdoors, the way you use it is up to you

Although quilts are not typically laid on the floor, how you use it is up to you.

Laying it in a Japanese or Western-style room like a rug will envelop the entire room in a warm atmosphere.
