Patchwork quilting started "because I love it."

As the director bluntly put it, "Who would make something so intricate?" In reality,
there was no one in Japan who would take on such a labor-intensive patchwork project.
But I didn't give up and kept searching, and then a small factory in China offered to help.

Honestly, it was a quilt project where I wondered "who would make it?" and
"who would buy it?" But it finally came to fruition.

Chinese artisans carefully piece together small scraps of fabric one by one to create a large pattern.
Since it's not printed, it takes an enormous amount of time, but patchwork has a unique charm that cannot be replicated otherwise.

The soft texture unique to overdyed fabric

The finishing touch for all processes is overdyeing.
The layered colors on the fabric have a nostalgic and timeless texture, as if they have always been there.

While there are many different types of quilts around the world, I believe that American quilts, with their primitive and quiet presence, suit Japanese living spaces.

Inspired by the rustic texture of early 1900s American quilts, we have reimagined them into a shape we love.

The camel color is based on the "Star of Bethlehem" pattern, which was popular in America exactly 100 years ago.
The Star of Bethlehem is said to be the star that shone when Christ was born, and it's the same star that adorns the top of a Christmas tree.

Whether laid on the floor or used outdoors, the usage is up to you.

While quilts are not typically laid on the floor, how you use it is up to you.

When used as a rug in a Japanese or Western-style room, the entire room is enveloped in a warm atmosphere.

The love of the craftsman embedded in each piece

Each handmade patchwork, meticulously crafted over time, is imbued with the love of its maker.

We hope you will repair any holes and enjoy using it in your daily life for 10 or 20 years.
