A patchwork quilt born out of pure "liking it."

"Who's going to make something this intricate?"
the director curtly interjected, and indeed,
no one in Japan would take on such a painstaking patchwork project.
Still, I couldn't give up and kept searching, until a small factory in China offered to help.

Honestly, it was a quilt project that made me wonder "who's going to make it?"
and "who's going to buy it?" It has finally taken shape.

Chinese artisans carefully connect small fabric scraps one by one to create a large pattern.
Since it's not printed, it takes an enormous amount of time, but there's a unique charm that only patchwork can create.

Soft texture unique to overdyeing

An overdyeing process is applied at the final stage of all production steps.
The layered colors of the fabric evoke a nostalgic, timeless charm, as if it has always been there.

There are many kinds of quilts around the world, but I believe that American quilts, with their primitive and quiet presence, suit Japanese lifestyles.

Inspired by the rustic texture of early 1900s American quilts, we recreated them into a form that we found appealing.

Lay it on the floor, use it outdoors - the possibilities are yours to decide.

Although quilts are not typically laid on the floor, how you use it is entirely up to you.

Using it as a rug in a Japanese or Western-style room will envelop the entire space in a warm atmosphere.
