THE BEGINNING
It all started with a single shirt.
The story of BasShu began with an encounter with a Banshu-ori chambray shirt. Its deep colors, natural and soft texture, and the way its character grew richer with every wash – We launched the brand in 2007 with the strong belief that we wanted to create products using this fabric, convinced that its appeal would surely be understood. Thus, the "BASIC Series" was born. The first product, an apron packed with our passion, became synonymous with the brand.

QUALITY
"Origin" is "Quality"
We are particular about "origin."
BasShu, which started with Banshu-ori, has since begun producing towels in Imabari, blankets in Izumiotsu,
denim in Kojima, and rush grass products in Chikugo. This is the result of pursuing quality.
Just as the texture of Banshu-ori can only be created by Nishiwaki's abundant soft water and the skilled techniques of experienced artisans,
as we pursue the quality of textiles, we inevitably arrive at the right place for their production.
We partner with reliable production regions backed by history and local characteristics, sometimes extending overseas to workshops in India and China.
There, too, is a necessity that can only be born in those specific places.

OUR PASSION
Our Passion for Manufacturing
We are drawn to old things. We value the reason why something can survive the test of time without being discarded and remains with us today. We want BasShu's products to be like that. Especially now, when inexpensive mass-produced goods are disposable, we want to create reliable items that can be cherished for a long time. To achieve this, we do not compromise on color, texture, durability, or design. We do not engage in manufacturing based on superficial marketing. Products that age gracefully, gaining character alongside the user over 10, 30 years— With such a future in mind, we dedicate ourselves to manufacturing every day.
