that blend into your life the more you use them

"I want a curtain that isn't plain, but lets in gentle natural light."
This is our original Banshu-ori curtain, created with that desire in mind.

Curtains are generally functional, with features like light blocking, fire resistance, and soundproofing.
While I think they'd be convenient to use,

they didn't suit my room, so I wanted a fabric that would allow more natural light to come in.

Even when we say "fabric," the materials, colors, and textures vary greatly.
Lace alone can look cheap and shabby sometimes...

I was looking for a fabric that felt familiar yet sophisticated,
and I found it in Banshu-ori.

The material is natural cotton linen, which blends into your room the more you use it.

Both linen and cotton are materials with excellent moisture absorption and durability.
This fabric combines the smooth feel of linen with the soft texture of cotton,
resulting in a remarkably smooth feel.

However, natural materials breathe, so they expand and contract in dry environments and humid seasons.
We would be happy if you could accept this with a relaxed attitude and not worry too much about it.

It also contains a moderate amount of linen's characteristic "neps" (slubs), creating a well-used, vintage feel.

It reveals its beauty differently depending on the time of day, season, and weather.
