In the ten seconds it took me to wake up and wash my face,
I thought, "Ah, I feel like only good things will happen today."
Here are some photos from that morning.

Next,
A photo from the morning of the last day of my business trip, a completely free day:
While happily pondering whether to go out for coffee or sleep a bit more,
Looking down at the New York cityscape,
I felt completely content.

This hotel,
really resonated with a tired woman in her 30s. LOL
----
Even if you feel energetic during a business trip,
the moment all the work is done, fatigue washes over you,
And it was at such a time that I stayed at this hotel, "The Ludlow Hotel."
(*In Japanese, it's sometimes written as Ludlow, sometimes as Ladlow.)

It was designed by Sean MacPherson, who also worked on The Marlton Hotel ("BasShu's Guide to Choosing a New York Hotel Without Failing") that I introduced in a previous blog post.
In fact, it's even more famous than The Marlton,
so you can find a lot of basic information about it.
However, most of that information
tends to focus on the terrace and restaurant in the lobby,
rather than the guest rooms.

So, I thought the rooms might be a bit shabby,
and didn't have high expectations at all,
but in reality, they were incredibly good.
They were so good that I wanted to tell the hotel's marketing team,
"You should really showcase your guest rooms!"

In stark contrast to the lively atmosphere of the lobby,
the guest rooms were utterly chic.
In my personal experience, with many new trendy hotels,
the emphasis on "stylishness" can be a bit overbearing,
and sometimes feels superficial.
But there was absolutely no such artificiality here.
It's clear that the space was designed to genuinely allow your mind and body to rest.

Every piece of furniture and every fixture, with their sense of gravitas, was tastefully chosen.
The bathroom, with its view of the NYC skyline,
was simply beyond words.
By putting on some slow music
and just soaking in the tub,
I was able to recover quite a bit from my fatigue.

Choosing a hotel,
I believe, is about deciding how you want to feel during your trip.
And this hotel,
is likely used by many who want to spend their time in a stylish and energetic way.
However, it is actually
a hotel I would recommend to those who feel a bit tired,
and want to relax and take it easy.
Honestly, among all the stylish hotels I've stayed at in the past,
this one is by far number one, and I'd love to stay again.
Also, the bathroom is sure to be a hit with women.

If you can book early,
you might even find it at an exceptional price,
so definitely consider it for your NYC hotel options.
See ya!
